Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is seeking motivated interns to support testing and verification of high-end AI/ Machine Intelligence products at our Cork campus. You will work on PCIe IP verification, hardware/software integration, and contribute to future connectivity of CPU, GPU and FPGA platforms.

We offer mentorship, exposure to AMD leaders, and networking events. You must be enrolled in an Ireland-based university in Electrical/Electronic or Computer Engineering and be available to start Jan

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an Ireland-based university in Electrical/Electronic engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, C, Perl, Shell, and UVM.
  • Experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog/VHDL and digital design concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers to build performance verification test plans and models.
  • Write scripts to track compute resources using Perl/Python.
  • Run regression flows with Perl/Python/MySQL/PHP for project development.
  • Review tools/processes to boost simulation performance and efficiency.
  • Debug/test test cases and Verilog/systemVerilog coding.
  • Build test platforms and perform system-level testing.
  • Undertake production validation of hardware/software integration.
  • Use tools to perform low-level hardware/software testing and root-cause analysis.
