Job summary

SMJ Construction & Renovations Ltd, an established building contractor and property developer, is seeking an experienced Spray Painter to join its production team in Ireland. The role focuses on preparing timber panels and applying coatings to deliver high-quality finishes within production schedules.

The successful candidate will have 2–5 years’ relevant experience, strong knowledge of spray-painting techniques and a commitment to quality, working as part of a team with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years’ relevant experience in timber, joinery, furniture or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of spray-painting equipment, paints, stains, lacquers and finishing techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timber panels and components for finishing, including sanding, cleaning and masking.
• Mix and apply paints, stains, lacquers and other coatings.
• Operate spray-painting and lacquer equipment to achieve a high-quality, consistent finish.
• Inspect finished work and maintain required quality standards.
• Work as part of the production team to meet deadlines.
• Follow all health, safety and environmental requirements, including correct PPE use and safe handling of flammable materials.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Spray Painter to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and finishing of timber panels and components, ensuring consistently high-quality finishes while meeting production requirements and deadlines.

Responsibilities & duties

• Prepare timber panels and components for finishing, including sanding, cleaning and masking.
• Mix and apply paints, stains, lacquers and other coatings.
• Operate spray-painting and lacquer equipment to achieve a high-quality, consistent finish.
• Inspect finished work and maintain required quality standards.

Remuneration for this role is €36,605 per annum based on 39 hours or week.
