Job summary

Galtee Wood & Veneer, Ballylanders, Co. Limerick, is recruiting for a Spray Painter/Lacquer Spray Operator to join its manufacturing site. The role involves preparing timber panels, mixing coatings, operating spray equipment, and ensuring quality finishes.

You will work closely with the production team and must follow safety regulations. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years’ experience in a related environment, holds a Level 4 qualification, and possesses strong interpersonal and teamwork skills,

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in timber, joinery, furniture or manufacturing.
• Level 4 Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of spray equipment, paints, stains, lacquers and finishing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timber panels and components for finishing, including sanding, cleaning and masking.
• Mix and prepare paints, stains, lacquers and other coatings according to specifications.
• Operate spray-painting and lacquer spray equipment to apply coatings with a smooth, even finish.
• Collaborate with production team to meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Adhere to workplace safety and environmental regulations and PPE usage.

Job Description

The Galtee Group is currently recruiting for the role of Spray Painter/Lacquer Spray Operator for their site at Galtee Wood & Veneer Cork Road, Ballylanders, Co. Limerick. V35 TF76.

• Prepare timber panels and components for finishing, including sanding, cleaning, and masking.
• Mix and prepare paints, stains, lacquers, and other coatings in accordance with the specifications.
• Operate spray-painting and lacquer spray equipment to apply coatings, ensuring a smooth, even, consistent and adjust spray equipment and application techniques to maintain consistent quality and finish.
• Work along with the production team to meet quality standard and production deadlines.
• Strictly adhere to workplace safety and environmental regulations, including the proper storage of flammable materials and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience within a timber, joinery, furniture, or manufacturing environment.
• Advance knowledge of Spray equipment, paints, stains, lacquer, and finishing techniques with excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as a part of the team.

Remuneration is €36,605 per annum based on 39 hours or week.
