Applitrack seeks a Paraprofessional for Park School to support instructional programs and assist in caring for and teaching students with special needs in regular or self-contained classrooms. You will help implement IEP objectives, monitor behavior, and assist in communications with staff and families.

Responsibilities include adapting activities, administering tests, providing basic health care under supervision, and assisting in meetings to support student progress.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Certificates and licenses: Professional Educator License, Substitute Teaching License, Educator License with Stipulations (TBE) or Educator License with Stipulations (PARA).
• Experience preferred: Job related experience is desired.

Mansioni

• Adapt classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher to support and reinforce classroom objectives.
• Administer tests, homework, make-up work, etc., to support teachers in the classroom.
• Administer immediate first aid and medical assistance as needed and as instructed by a health care professional.
• Assist medically fragile or physically disabled students for personal hygiene.
• Attend meetings and in-service presentations for the purpose of acquiring and conveying information relative to job functions.
• Communicate with supervising instructional staff, professional support personnel, and parents to assist in evaluating progress and implementing IEP objectives.
• Implement behavioral plans designed by IEP team for students with behavior disorders under supervision.
• Maintain instructional materials and files/records to ensure availability and meet mandated requirements.
• Monitor students during assigned periods in various school environments to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Provide instruction to students in individual and group activities to reinforce instructional objectives and implement IEP plans.

Formazione

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a job-related area
