Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of college or 32 college credits or ability to pass the ETS Para Pro Exam.
• Knowledge and skill in teaching and pronunciation of vowels, consonants, phrases, and words phonetically.
• Ability to administer standardized and other diagnostic tests.
• Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed.
• Ability to work with staff, students, and the public.
• Computer knowledge with word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Works with teachers to determine educational needs of each student.
• Works with small groups and individuals in all subject areas.
• Maintains student files per guidelines to track progress.
• Assists in gathering data for reports to state/federal agencies.
• Attends in-service classes and district meetings.
• Prepares tutoring area and learning materials.
• Operates office equipment and communicates with parents.
