The Falls Kitchen at Sheen Falls Lodge in Kenmare, Co. Kerry, invites a talented Sous Chef to join our award-winning culinary team.

Working under the Executive Head Chef, you will help lead and develop the kitchen, maintaining exceptional standards of cuisine in a luxury five-star setting. We seek a qualified chef with strong leadership abilities, a genuine passion for food, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Qualified chef with experience in a luxury fine-dining environment.
• Strong culinary knowledge and excellent cooking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily operation of The Falls Kitchen, maintaining the highest standards of food preparation, presentation and service.
• Lead, support and oversee The Falls Kitchen team during service.
• Ensure all food preparation and presentation meets the standards expected of The Falls Kitchen.
• Ensure food safety guidelines and HACCP procedures are maintained and monitored at all times.
• Work closely with the Executive Head Chef and wider kitchen team to ensure consistently high-quality dishes and guest experiences.

The Falls Kitchen, located at Sheen Falls Lodge in Kenmare, Co. Kerry, is seeking a talented and ambitious Sous Chef to join our award-winning culinary team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified chef with experience in a similar fine-dining luxury environment who is passionate about food and eager to further develop their culinary and leadership skills.

Working under the guidance of our Executive Head Chef, you will play an important role in maintaining the exceptional standards of The Falls Kitchen while helping to lead and develop our kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily operation of The Falls Kitchen, maintaining the highest standards of food preparation, presentation and service
• Maintain consistently high standards throughout afternoon and evening service
• Ensure all food preparation and presentation meets the standards expected of The Falls Kitchen
• Ensure food safety guidelines and HACCP procedures are maintained and monitored at all times
• Lead, support and oversee The Falls Kitchen team during service
• Assist and support other sections of the kitchen as required
• Help maintain an organised, professional and efficient kitchen environment
• Work closely with the Executive Head Chef and wider kitchen team to ensure consistently high-quality dishes and guest experiences

• Qualified chef with experience in a similar luxury fine-dining environment
• Strong culinary knowledge and excellent cooking skills
• Genuine passion for food and delivering exceptional quality
• High standards of food preparation, presentation and attention to detail
• Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP requirements
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and motivate a kitchen team
• Ability to work effectively as part of a professional culinary team
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to maintain high standards while working in a busy service environment
• Ambitious and motivated to continue developing your culinary career

This is a full-time position and includes evening and weekend shifts.
