Job summary

Protex AI is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join the Tech Ops team in Ireland. You will support edge-to-cloud systems, troubleshoot device and network issues, and collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Client Success to deliver rapid resolutions.

The role requires AWS, Python, Linux/Unix, and Git proficiency, plus willingness to travel for client meetings and on-site visits. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical support or engineering role.
• Experience with device troubleshooting, log hunting, and system checks.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to convey complex concepts.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and on-site visits.
• Demonstrated AWS experience.
• Demonstrated expertise with Python.
• Demonstrated experience with Linux/Unix and Git, including networking and CLI.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and industry influencers.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Client Success to resolve issues.
• Support client-facing teams with explanations of complex problems to non-technical stakeholders.
• Debug and resolve camera-related and networking issues on client installations using Linux and AWS.
• Monitor AWS CloudWatch logs to identify root causes and investigate system issues.
• Troubleshoot edge devices and cloud integrations to ensure uninterrupted performance.
• Provide escalated technical support for installations and deployments.
• Debug Python and JavaScript code to resolve client-facing issues.
• Contribute to process and knowledge base improvements documenting solutions.
