Ekco is seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to bridge business needs and technology, working with sales, clients and delivery teams to design scalable, secure and cost-effective cloud and modern workplace solutions.

The ideal candidate will have broad infrastructure, cloud, networking and security experience, plus strong commercial awareness and excellent customer engagement skills. Join a growing team delivering innovative cloud security and managed services.

Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise infrastructure and cloud solutions across AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Strong understanding of hybrid cloud, migration, modernization and digital transformation.
• Designing networking including routing, switching, SD-WAN, VPNs and firewalls.
• Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware/Hyper-V/Nutanix.
• Experience with identity, authentication and access management (AD/Entra ID/Okta).
• Understanding of cybersecurity including Zero Trust, SIEM, backup, DR and compliance.
• Experience with automation and IaC (Terraform/Ansible/Python/PowerShell).
• Understanding of cloud governance, cost optimization, licensing and commercial considerations.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead during presales, understanding business objectives and transformation goals.
• Design and present end-to-end solutions across cloud, on-premise, networking, security and collaboration platforms.
• Produce solution designs, project scopes and cost estimates.
• Deliver presentations, architecture workshops, demos and PoCs.
• Support delivery teams to ensure architectures are followed.
• Collaborate with account managers, vendors and partners to ensure viability and deliverability.
• Produce technical documentation including proposals, diagrams and implementation docs.
• Stay current with cloud, networking, cybersecurity and vendor roadmaps.
• Contribute to managed services offerings and sales enablement materials.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to colleagues.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer focused Solutions Architect to join our growing team. This role bridges the gap between business needs and technology solutions, working closely with sales teams, clients, and delivery teams to design innovative, scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions across cloud, infrastructure, networking, and modern workplace technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a broad technical background with experience across enterprise infrastructure, public cloud platforms, networking, security, and managed services, combined with strong commercial awareness and excellent customer engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead during the presales process, engaging with customers to understand their business objectives, technical challenges, and transformation goals.
• Design and present end-to-end solutions across one or more of the following technologies:
  • Public Cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Hybrid Cloud and Multi-Cloud Architectures
  • Enterprise Infrastructure (Compute, Storage, Virtualisation)
  • Networking (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Wireless, Firewalls, VPN)
  • Identity & Access Management
  • Modern Workplace and Collaboration Platforms
  • Backup, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity
  • Cyber Security and Compliance Solutions
• Produce high-quality solution designs, project scopes, resource plans, and cost estimates.
• Deliver compelling customer presentations, architecture workshops, technical demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements.
• Support project delivery teams where required to ensure solutions are implemented in line with agreed architecture, governance, and best practice.
• Collaborate with account managers, delivery teams, vendors, and strategic partners to ensure solutions are commercially viable and technically deliverable.
• Produce technical documentation including solution proposals, architecture diagrams, bid responses, and implementation documentation.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, cloud innovations, networking trends, cybersecurity developments, and vendor roadmaps.
• Contribute to the development of new managed services, go-to-market offerings, reusable solution frameworks, and sales enablement materials.
• Provide technical mentoring and guidance to colleagues where appropriate.

Requirements

• Strong experience designing enterprise infrastructure and cloud solutions across one or more major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Solid understanding of hybrid cloud, cloud migration, modernisation, and digital transformation projects.
• Experience designing networking solutions including routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and network security.
• Knowledge of virtualisation platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, or similar technologies.
• Experience with identity, authentication, and access management solutions (Active Directory, Entra ID, Okta or equivalent).
• Good understanding of cybersecurity principles including Zero Trust, endpoint protection, identity security, SIEM, backup, disaster recovery, and compliance.
• Experience with automation, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code using technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, or CloudFormation.
• Understanding of cloud governance, cost optimisation, licensing, and commercial considerations.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and solution design skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, Technical Consultant, Presales Consultant, or similar customer-facing technical role.
• Experience delivering customer workshops, technical discovery sessions, and solution design engagements.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience supporting bids, proposals, and customer presentations.
