Job summary

BearingPoint Ireland is seeking a Solution Architect to design and lead secure, scalable software solutions for clients undergoing digital transformation. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical blueprints and ensure delivery of high-value outcomes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years delivering as a solution architect in fast-paced environments.
• Strong knowledge across software, data, infrastructure and security.
• Proven stakeholder management and architectural design skills.
• Experience with cloud adoption frameworks and costings.

Solution Architect

What type of work will you be doing?

• Design and Innovate: Work with our clients to understand their business needs and articulate how technology can be applied to solve problems.
• Lead: Work closely with clients to lead the design and delivery phases for projects as overall technical solution lead.
• Plan: Contribute to the creation of implementation plans for the successful delivery of our solutions to clients. Support our teams in the delivery of these plans
• Develop Blueprints: Lead the architectural blueprint considering the functional and non-functional requirements.
• Inspire: Play an active role within our team advancing the practice, tools and technologies we use. Be a thought leader within the team and inspire others to do the same.
• Collaborate: Collaborate and contribute across the practice and the organisation contributing to community of interests supporting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement in what we do.
• Business Development: Play an active role supporting business development by formulating technical solutions that solve real client problems.
• Mentor: Support and mentor others within the team and provide feedback on solution architectures and designs.

What we look for in a solution architect:

Must-have:

• Track record (4 years +) delivering as a solution architect in a fast paced environment
• Good knowledge across technology domains including software, data, infrastructure and security.
• Stakeholder management.
• Cloud Adoption Frameworks.
• Solution proposals, solution costing.
• Software architecture and associated design patterns.
• Integration technologies and aligned patterns such API lead, event streaming, backend for frontend.
• Security Best Practices.
• Azure or AWS
• High availability and Disaster Recovery
• Formal architecture certifications (Azure AZ-305, AWS SAP-C02, TOGAF, etc)

Desirable

• Process driven with experience using prevalent modelling tools.
• Front end technologies and frameworks including React or Angular.
• Java or .NET frameworks.
• Experience with integration and middleware platforms.
• Manage the architecture runway in cooperation with delivery teams.
• Knowledge of case management solutions
• Data design, storage and management.
• While you won't need to get your hands dirty in software development in this role, recent hands-on experience is beneficial.
