Qualcomm is seeking an IT Cloud Engineer intern to start in 2027 for up to 8 months to join the global Infrastructure group in the Cork Technology Centre, Ireland.

You will work in a global team that manages, optimizes and provisions cloud services while driving automation wherever possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement Generative AI use cases for cloud operations
• Build automation and tooling for cloud services
• Work on cloud architecture and infrastructure as code (IaC)
• Gain hands‑on experience with AWS, DevOps practices, and cloud‑native technologies

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong understanding of programming and cloud fundamentals
• Excellent communication skills
• Curiosity and enthusiasm
• Willingness to learn

Preferred Skills

• Cloud Platforms: AWS (preferred), GCP, or Azure
• DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, automation tools
• Generative AI (GenAI): Applied AI for cloud automation
• Programming Languages: Python, JavaScript, TypeScript
• Bonus: Interest in FinOps, cloud cost management, financial systems, or operational analytics

Education Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must be a current student (electrical engineering or computer science) in the middle or towards the end of your university studies looking for an Intern/co‑op placement as a mandatory part of your degree for 6+ months. Candidates must legally be able to work in Ireland and registered as a current student.
