Job summary

Rent the Runway's Galway‑based team builds and operates cloud‑scale microservices behind checkout and orders, and powers the CX internal app and financial reporting.

You'll own features end‑to‑end from UI in ReactJS to Java/Kotlin services, integrate with payments, fraud and tax, and collaborate across teams to deliver reliable, scalable software.

The role offers hybrid work with 2–3 days in Galway, Ireland, and opportunities to mentor others while embracing AI‑assisted development tools.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related degree.
• 4+ years of practical software engineering experience.
• Experience with cloud/web-scale microservices.
• Proven experience building responsive, well-tested web applications.
• Strong OOP and design patterns knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve the internal CX application with ReactJS.
• Own features end-to-end from UI to backend services and APIs.
• Integrate with third-party providers (payments, fraud, tax).
• Improve reliability, scalability, and observability of revenue-critical flows.
• Collaborate with partners and mentors to share technical direction.
• Work in a cross-functional team to achieve best results.
