• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and experience with Spring or Spring Boot.
• RESTful APIs and distributed applications.
• Knowledge of software design principles, data structures, and OOP.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of event‑driven, SOA, or microservices‑based architectures.
• Exposure to React, Angular, or similar front‑end frameworks.
• Experience with automated testing practices and frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience working in Agile development teams.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non‑technical partners.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

This is a pipeline requisition supporting multiple Software Engineer opportunities across Fidelity's Galway technology organisation. We anticipate hiring for up to five positions across a range of engineering teams.

The Experience And Skills You Bring

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.

• Experience developing RESTful APIs and distributed applications.


• Knowledge of software design principles, data structures, and object‑oriented programming.


• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.


• Understanding of event‑driven, service‑oriented, or microservices‑based architectures.


• Exposure to modern front‑end technologies such as React, Angular, or similar frameworks.


• Experience with automated testing practices and frameworks.


• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.


• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.


• Experience working within Agile development teams.


• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.


• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non‑technical partners.


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or similar event‑streaming platforms.


• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.


• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour Driven Development (BDD).


• Knowledge of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering practices.


• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies.


• Experience working with large‑scale enterprise systems.


• Exposure to financial services, workforce management, or other complex business domains.
