Job summary

Fidelity Investments Inc. is seeking a strategic engineering leader to head Portfolio Construction platforms within Fidelity Asset Management Solutions (FAMS).

You will directly manage 8–10 software engineers and provide cross-team technical and execution leadership across multiple delivery teams. The role emphasizes hands-on AI-enabled engineering, adoption of tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude, and coaching engineers to accelerate productivity and deliver scalable investment technology

This role includes direct people management responsibility for approximately 9 software engineers while providing technical and execution leadership across multiple engineering delivery teams.

This role requires a leader with proven experience building and developing high-performing engineering teams combined with deep modern software engineering expertise.

Just as importantly, the ideal candidate must have hands‑on experience using AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and similar technologies in real engineering environments.

This is a core requirement for the role — the successful candidate will be expected to lead adoption of AI‑enabled engineering practices, coach engineers on modern AI development workflows, and accelerate developer productivity across the organization.

You will partner closely with product, architecture, and investment technology leaders to deliver scalable, resilient, and high‑impact solutions supporting multi‑asset investing and portfolio construction capabilities.
