Job summary

Cpl Group is expanding its Dublin engineering capability with a Software Engineer role focused on secure, scalable backend services and integrations for an AI-driven cyber-risk platform. The position is hybrid, requiring ~three days per week in the Dublin office.

Responsibilities include building backend services, APIs and data-processing components, plus data model design and SQL-backed integrations to support reporting and workflows.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years software engineering experience with backend focus.
• BackendPython, Go/Golang and SQL proficiency.
• Frontend knowledge with React and Angular is beneficial.
• Experience designing APIs and relational data solutions.
• Awareness of secure coding and automated testing.
• Exposure to distributed systems or containerised environments is a plus.
• Full-stack capability would be advantageous.
• Must have Irish/EU citizenship and live within commutable distance of Dublin.

Software Engineer

• Cpl are partnering with an international cybersecurity business expanding its engineering capability in Dublin. The successful candidate will build secure, scalable backend services and integrations for an AI-driven cyber-risk and intelligence platform.
• This is a hybrid position, with approximately three days per week required in the Dublin office.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, business logic and data-processing components.
• Develop data models and SQL-backed integrations supporting reporting, monitoring and user workflows.
• Deliver software from solution design through development, testing and release.
• Improve platform performance, resilience, security and observability.
• Work closely with frontend, infrastructure, data and AI/ML colleagues.
• Contribute to automation, security tooling and related platform initiatives as needed.

Requirements

• 2-3 years software-engineering experience, with a particular focus on backend development.
• Relevant Degree/Education
• Backend Python, Go/Golang and SQL.
• Frontend, React, Angular
• Experience designing APIs, service architectures and relational data solutions.
• Knowledge of automated testing, secure coding and modern cloud-based development practices.
• Exposure to distributed systems, asynchronous processing or containerised environments is beneficial.
• Full-stack capability would be advantageous.
• Candidates must have Irish/EU Citizenship
• Must currently live within a commutable distance of Dublin.
