Job summary

TEKsystems in Dublin, Ireland is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong Go and Java experience to join the Network Access team. The role focuses on delivering secure, scalable switching solutions for payment networks and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams across the software lifecycle.

You will work on modern, high-availability systems using Java and Go, with exposure to microservices and data engineering concepts, in a contract-to-hire engagement.

Qualifications

• Software Engineering experience with demonstrated thought-leadership and partnership across engineering disciplines.
• Experience delivering scalable, high-availability applications in cloud-native environments.
• Strong background with Java and Go Lang and modern web services.
• Experience with Agile development processes and CI/CD pipelines.

Description

Overview Providing Innovative, Secure, and Reliable Switching Solutions for Payment Networks, we are currently seeking a passionate, collaborative, and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the Network Access team. The ideal candidate is passionate about both understanding the customer & the business, and also working with technology teams to deliver working solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop scalable streaming and aggregation solutions based on Java, Spark, Scala, Kafka, Hive, Hadoop
• Create documentation to support knowledge sharing; including flowcharts and diagrams
• Collaborate with other team members during all phases of software development
• Develop software utilizing open source technologies to interface distributed and relational data solutions
• Ensure timely and accurate communication with Development Leads, Project Manager and Senior Management throughout the life cycle of the project

About You

• Software Engineering experience with demonstrated thought-leadership and functional influence and partnership demonstrated by a successful track record of enabling business through these technical decisions
• Considered a thought leader and expert in Software Engineering as with experience in related engineering disciplines
• Proven experience with highly scalable applications/platforms and willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done
• experience in agile development process using tools like Rally, Jira, etc.
