We are currently seeking a Software Development Manager to join our Engineering team. This role is available to candidates in or near Dublin. You will be expected to be in the office a minimum twice per week on one of our Anchor Days.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with your triad (Designer + Product + Development Manager leadership group) to understand business challenges, identify impactful opportunities, and craft roadmap for the team.
- Work with your team on designing technical solutions.
- Give great feedback on code reviews, architecture documents, and more to help support team members making great technical decisions.
- Actively contribute to the project, either through extensive code reviews or shipping code.
- Have regular 1‑to‑1 meetings with direct reports to support their career growth and development goals.
- Participate in hiring to grow the engineering team at Clio.
- Review code contributed by members from your team or other Clio developers, and reach out to share your experience with a particular technology or pattern.

- Demonstrated success in people leadership in software development, particularly with large scale SaaS products.
- Strong background in hands‑on software development.
- Diverse knowledge to help team solve complex technical problems.
- Ability to describe successful projects worked on, and lessons learned from failed projects.
- Demonstrated ability to hire the best engineers in a fast‑paced job market, and coach, develop, and retain engineering talent.
- Energetic about both own technical work and contributing to career growth of the team.
- Strong opinions that are weakly held, fostering the same attitude in others.
- Provides honest, actionable feedback and encourages reciprocal feedback.
- Devises roadmaps but adapts to changing priorities.
- Growth mindset regarding process improvement and new technologies, especially AI.

The expected salary range for this role is €111,400 to €139,300 to €167,200 EUR. Salary bands are available for other regions based on local currency.
