Tata Consultancy Services in Dublin is seeking a Software Architect to lead design and governance of software systems using .NET and Azure in a hybrid setup. You will drive architectural decisions across stakeholders, mentor teams and ensure architectural compliance with security and scalability goals.

You will work with the latest Microsoft technologies, contribute to roadmaps, and uphold coding standards while supporting delivery milestones in a client-facing Dublin environment.

Qualifications

The Role

As a Software Architect, you will be responsible for the design, structure and components of the software system and leading architectural discussions and collaborations with multiple stakeholders and technical leads. You will also ensure that the agreed architecture is followed by the project team for any new software development.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with latest Microsoft technologies, including Azure cloud in a collaborative environment.

Your responsibilities:

• Designing the overall structure and components of software systems, considering factors such as scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Leading architectural discussions and collaborating with stakeholders, including product managers, project managers, and other technical leads
• Ensuring that the software architecture policies, procedures, and standards align with business goals and future scalability requirements.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Mentoring and coaching junior architects and developers, fostering their professional growth.
• Conducting code reviews and providing technical guidance to development teams.
• Defining and enforcing coding standards, best practices, and software development methodologies.
• Identifying and mitigating technical risks and challenges in software architecture.
• Ensure best practice is applied to all software solution design, including the escalation of issues, as necessary.
• To ensure all software build and implementation aligns to organisation’s software development standards.
• To technically validate all new software development candidates as required.
• To provide mentoring assistance to the development teams where required.
• To assist in troubleshooting project/support issues when required.
• Recommends strategic direction for the software development roadmap including POC’s as relevant.
• Evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools for software architecture.

Your Profile

Key skills/knowledge/experience:

• Extensive practical experience with C#, .Net Framework, .NET and Azure development patterns and practices.
• Good knowledge on SQL Server, Entity Framework, SonarQube, Azure DevOps, REST API, Azure PaaS, NFR and Accessibility standards.
• Proven track record of successfully designing and delivering complex software systems.
• A deep understanding of software development principles, best practices, and industry trends is essential to drive architectural decisions effectively.
• Strong technical background and proficiency in various programming languages, frameworks, and architectural patterns.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide development teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with business objectives makes them valuable contributors to the success of software projects and the long-term growth of organisations.

Good to have:

Working knowledge of front-end technologies HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, React, etc.
