RITTS Recruitment is working with a leading technology organisation to hire a Software Architect. You will design and evolve scalable, high‑performance enterprise applications and distributed systems, taking ownership of architectural decisions.

Working closely with engineering teams, you will guide technical directions, contribute to code and architecture reviews, evaluate new technologies and help set engineering standards in a hybrid Dublin environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Software Architect or senior technical lead with architectural ownership.
• Strong Python and AWS background with enterprise-level applications and web services.
• Experience designing distributed systems, asynchronous programming and multithreaded architectures.
• Solid relational database knowledge (MySQL/PostgreSQL), REST APIs and integration patterns.

Responsabilités

• Own architectural decisions for scalable, high‑performance enterprise applications and distributed systems.
• Provide technical guidance, participate in code and architecture reviews, resolve complex challenges.
• Evaluate new technologies and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
• Mentor engineering teams and collaborate with stakeholders across the lifecycle.

The Role

As a Software Architect, you will play a key role in designing and evolving scalable, high-performance enterprise applications and distributed systems. You will take ownership of architectural decisions, ensuring solutions are reliable, maintainable and aligned with business objectives.

Working closely with engineering teams, you will provide technical guidance, contribute to code and architecture reviews, resolve complex technical challenges and evaluate new technologies. This is a hands-on architectural role offering the opportunity to influence technical direction, drive engineering best practices and contribute throughout the software development lifecycle.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Software Architect, Principal Engineer or senior technical lead with architectural ownership.
• Strong software engineering background, ideally with Python, and experience designing enterprise-level applications and web services.
• Experience with distributed systems, asynchronous programming and multithreaded architectures.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), REST APIs and integration patterns.
• Experience with Linux environments, caching technologies and ORM frameworks.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud environments and scalable application architecture.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, version control and deployment automation.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions and mentor engineering teams.
