Lotus Care is recruiting Social Care Workers to join our team in Athlone, Co. Westmeath. This permanent, full-time role supports residents at our new residential centre opening late 2026 and across Midlands centres.

duties include daily living assistance, medication dispensation, and working with a multidisciplinary team to meet individual care plans, while maintaining HIQA standards and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 7 qualification in Applied Social Studies or equivalent.
• Registered (or in process) with the Social Care Workers Registration Board by CORU.
• Commitment to completing the remaining modules.
• Hold a full Irish driving license.
• Prior experience in social care or healthcare.
• Working knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations.
• Excellent verbal and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and encourage decision-making, independence, and personal development.
• Provide support in daily living skills, including personal hygiene, health and appearance.
• Work in a person-centred manner to meet individual care plans and goals.
• Adhere to policies and procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice
• Administer and document the dispensation of prescribed medication.
• Undertake key worker responsibilities, helping service owners achieve goals.
• Document and report incidents and complaints involving staff, service owners or visitors.
• Work with MDT to achieve the goals of service owners.
