Job summary

Nua Healthcare Services is seeking compassionate Social Care Workers to join our team in Tullamore, Ireland. You will provide person-centred support to individuals across residential, supported living and outreach services, helping them achieve independence and meaningful lives within their communities.

Qualifications

  • A Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Social Care, Social Studies, or a related discipline is essential.
  • Registration with the CORU is required where applicable.
  • A full driving licence is required, or you are actively working towards obtaining one.
  • Flexibility to work across shifts on a 7-day roster.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals to plan, organise, and manage their daily activities and routines.
  • Assist individuals to access and participate in local communities, promoting inclusion and independence.
  • Support individuals in education, training, skills development, and achieving personal goals.
  • Develop and maintain independent living skills (cooking, cleaning, laundry, appointments).
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice.
  • Work flexibly across a 24/7 service to ensure continuity of care.

The role of the Social Care Worker is to provide high-quality care and support to individuals who avail of our services. Responsibilities
  • Supporting individuals to plan, organise, and manage their daily activities and routines.
  • Assisting individuals to access and actively participate in their local communities, promoting inclusion, independence, and social engagement.
  • Supporting individuals in education, training, skills development, and the achievement of their personal goals and aspirations.
  • Assisting individuals to develop and maintain independent living skills, including cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and maintaining family and social relationships.
  • Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of, and adhering to, all Company policies, procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice in line with organisational and legislative requirements.
  • Working flexibly across a 24-hour, 7-day service to meet the needs of the individuals supported and ensure continuity of care and support.
Skills Requirement
  • A Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Social Care, Social Studies, or a related discipline is essential.
  • Registration with the relevant professional body, including CORU registration where applicable, is required.
  • Previous experience working in a social care or support setting is desirable, but not essential.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals to live fulfilling, meaningful, and independent lives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive and professional relationships with individuals, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A full driving licence is required, or candidates must be actively working towards obtaining one.
  • Flexibility and reliability to work across a range of shifts in line with service requirements.
