Job summary

Nua Healthcare Services is a leading care provider in Ireland offering Residential, Supported Living, Day Services and Community Outreach for children and adults with complex needs. The role focuses on delivering high-quality care, developing tailored activity plans and supporting individuals to live meaningful lives within our services in County Cork.

You will work on a 24/7 shift pattern, with ongoing training and development; a full driver’s licence is preferred to support community

Qualifications

• Assistant Support Worker: No qualification required; training provided
• Social Care Worker: Level 7/8 degree in Social Care/Healthcare; CORU registration required
• Desirable life experience would be advantageous
• Good attitude to work and passion for supporting people
• Full Driver's Licence required or in progress

Responsibilities

• Support people with their daily plan
• Support people in the community
• Support people with education, skills development and achieving personal outcomes
• Assist with living skills: cooking, cleaning, laundry, appointments, family visits
• Adhere to Company policies, standards and codes of practice
• Shift work across 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

The Role of The Assistant Support Worker and Social Care Worker is to provide care to people who avail of our service. We will support you in developing and upskilling you in providing high quality care, maintaining professional working relationships with our team members and people who avail of our service.

We support people in reaching their full potential, to have a meaningful life through the supports of the services we provide to them.

This Will Include The Following On a Day-to-day Basis

• Supporting people with their daily plan
• Supporting people whilst in the community
• Supporting people with their education, skills development and achieving personal outcomes
• Supporting people with their living skills such as - Cooking, Cleaning, Laundry, attending appointments, family visits etc.
• Being familiar with and adhering to all Company policies and procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice in so far as is reasonable and practicable.
• Shift work over 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

Skills Requirement

• Assistant Support Worker - No qualification required (All necessary training provided)
• Social Care Workers - Level 7/ 8 degree in Social Care/Healthcare or related discipline (Must be registered with CORU)
• Relevant life experience would be desirable but not essential.
• Good attitude to work and passionate about supporting people.
• Full Driver's Licence required or in the process of achieving a Full Driver's Licence.
