Job summary

GI Group Ireland Limited is recruiting for an experienced Social Care Worker for our client in Ballybay, Co. Monaghan.

This permanent/full-time role supports people with physical and intellectual disabilities and autism across residential and day services. Requirements include QQI Level 7 qualification, CORU registration or application, at least one year working with vulnerable adults, and solid ICT skills; a full driving licence and own car are essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 7 QQI qualification; BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent.
• CORU registration or proof of application in progress.
• At least 1 year experience working with vulnerable adults or intellectual disabilities.
• Understanding of current policy developments in social care and disability services.
• Ability to follow, evaluate and contribute to care plans.
• Effective verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient IT skills with MS Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
• Full driver’s licence and own car are essential.

Our client operates Residential and Day Services across 15 locations, in which residents and day-attendees are supported to live an ordinary life, a life like any other. What you will need:

• Hold a minimum of a Level 7 on the QQI Framework - BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Heath or Social Care.


• CORU registration or proof application is in progress


• Have 1 years' experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.


• An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.


• An ability to follow, evaluate and contribute to the further development of plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of individuals supported.


• Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.


• Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.


• A full driver's licence and availability of own car is an essential requirement.
