Job summary

Gi Group Ireland is sourcing for an experienced Social Care Worker to support people with physical and intellectual disabilities, and autism. The role operates within Residential and Day Services nationwide, offering a competitive salary and collaborative environment.

You will join a committed team, with Garda Vetting required and CORU registration in progress, and a focus on delivering person-centred plans. Applicants must have relevant QQI Level 7 and a driving license.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 7 QQI qualification in Social Care or equivalent.
• CORU registration or proof of application in progress.
• At least 1 year experience with vulnerable adults or intellectual disabilities.
• Understanding of national policy in social care for disability services.
• Ability to develop and contribute to individual support plans.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Proficient IT skills including Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
• Full driver’s license and own car is essential.

Social Care Worker
Gi Group Recruitment are delighted to be sourcing for experienced social care workers for our client who specialises in supporting people with physical/intellectual disabilities and autism. Our client operates Residential and Day Services across 15 locations, in which residents and day-attendees are supported to live an ordinary life, a life like any other.

What you will need:

• Hold a minimum of a Level 7 on the QQI Framework - BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Heath or Social Care.
• CORU registration or proof application is in progress
• Have 1 years' experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
• An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
• An ability to follow, evaluate and contribute to the further development of plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of individuals supported.
• Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
• A full driver's licence and availability of own car is an essential requirement.
