Job summary

Enable Ireland in Dublin (CHO6) invites applications for Social Care Worker positions in Sandyford and Dun Laoghaire. This permanent role offers full-time and part-time hours up to 39 per week and requires a full, clean manual driving licence for eligibility.

You will work with adults with physical/sensory or mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, in an Adult Day Service, supporting daily living and personal care with a client‑centred approach.

Qualifications

• Statutory registration and CORU registration as a Social Care Worker.
• Schedule 3 qualification or an equivalent recognised by CORU.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with daily living activities in a day service.
• Deliver personal care and help with medical needs under supervision.
• Assist in developing and implementing individual care plans.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with safeguarding and data protection policies.

We are currently seeking highly-motivated Social Care Workers to join our team in Dublin (CHO6). We have full-time and part-time opportunities within our teams in Sandyford and Dun Laoghaire.

Contract Type: Permanent Posts.

Contract Hours: Full time and part time hours considered up to 39 per week.

Salary Scale: €39,160– €54,746 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments).

This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.

Annual Leave Entitlement 31 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service.

Overview of the Post:

To work as part of a dedicated and innovative team in an Adult Day Service working with Adults with physical and/or sensory or mild to moderate Intellectual disabilities, within a quality framework. The post holder will support the individuals accessing the service with all aspects of their daily lives in accordance with their individual needs and preferences.

• Please note that you must hold a full, clean, manual class B driver’s licence to be eligible for this role. You will be required to present evidence of this and your qualifications before being invited to interview

The successful candidate will have:

Essential Criteria:

• Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc.

• Hold a professional registration on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.

AND

• Have a Schedule 3 qualification.

OR

• Have a comparable qualification recognised by Social Care Workers Registration Board.

AND

• Candidates must have the knowledge, skills, and suitability required to perform the role effectively.
• Annual Registration
• On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.
• Additional Criteria:
• Experience in contributing to the development of personal plans.
• Experience and knowledge of the role of a key worker.
• Experience of delivering personal care.
• Experience of assisting adults with medical needs/ administering medication.
• Experience of engaging in professional supervision.
• Eligible to work in the State.
• Possess a full, clean, manual driving licence.

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience of working with adults and families with physical/sensory /intellectual disabilities.
• Minimum of 1 year post qualification experience relevant to the role.
