Job summary

Nicoll Curtin is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to maintain the reliability, availability and performance of critical production applications in an enterprise environment.

This production-focused SRE role collaborates closely with engineering teams to resolve incidents, enhance observability and automate operational processes, including on-call rotations and incident response.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in SRE, Production Engineering, or related roles.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability and performance of live production applications.
• Lead incident, problem and change management, including RCA and post-incident reviews.
• Monitor production environments using Splunk or Dynatrace.
• Identify and resolve application performance and reliability issues.
• Build automation using Python, Bash or similar.
• Support CI/CD, cloud and containerised environments.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, resilience and disaster recovery.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and support critical production services.

We’re looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to support the reliability, availability and performance of critical production applications.

• Own reliability and performance of live production applications.
• Lead incident, problem and change management, including RCA and post-incident reviews.
• Monitor production environments using Splunk or Dynatrace.
• Identify and resolve application performance and reliability issues.
• Build automation using Python, Bash or similar.
• Support CI/CD, cloud and containerised environments.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, resilience and disaster recovery.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and support critical production services.

Key Requirements

• 8+ years in SRE, Production Engineering, Application Support or similar.
• Strong experience supporting production applications.
• Solid ITSM, incident management, problem management and RCA experience.
• Hands-on Splunk or Dynatrace experience is essential.
• Strong observability and production monitoring experience.
• Python/Bash or similar scripting skills.
• Strong Linux/Unix and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience with CI/CD, containers and highly available production environments.

Important: This is not an infrastructure-focused DevOps role. We’re specifically looking for someone whose core experience is keeping production applications reliable and resolving issues in live environments.
