Job summary

Tracsis Traffic Data in Ireland is seeking a Shift Manager to lead our Site Operations team. You will oversee Technician teams, scheduling, training, and performance to ensure safe, efficient surveys and operations.

This hands-on leadership role involves health and safety oversight, staff development, and continuous improvement, with travel across Ireland and occasional UK assignments. Strong people management and planning skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operational or field-based teams.
• Experience with shift patterns, including nights and weekends.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Proven ability to train and develop staff.
• Ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in highways, transportation, or infrastructure environments.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support Technicians and Stores personnel.
• Create an inclusive, positive and collaborative working environment.
• Manage performance, attendance, development and wellbeing across the team.
• Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews and development discussions.
• Support recruitment activities, including interviews and onboarding.
• Promote a culture of continuous feedback, learning and improvement.
• Deliver regular team briefings, toolbox talks and operational updates.
