Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join one of our client's project teams, a leading main contractor, on a construction project based in Dublin.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management and successful delivery of site operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager, Engineers, Quantity Surveyor, design team and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the construction site.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, direct labour and site personnel.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the agreed construction programme.
- Monitor construction progress and identify and resolve potential delays.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, RAMS, site inductions and company procedures.
- Maintain high quality standards through inspections, ITPs and QA documentation.
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Engineers, Quantity Surveyor and design team.
- Coordinate site logistics, deliveries, welfare facilities and housekeeping.
- Maintain accurate site records, daily diaries and progress reports.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, statutory authorities and other project stakeholders.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure all works are completed to the required specifications and quality standards.
- Plan and coordinate upcoming works to maintain programme targets.
- Identify potential site issues and implement appropriate solutions.
- Promote a positive health & safety culture and maintain high standards across the site.
- Support the successful completion and handover of the project.

Requirements
- 5+ years' experience as a Site Manager with a Main Contractor in Ireland or the UK.
- Relevant Construction-related Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Proven track record delivering construction projects valued at €10m+.
- Experience across education, commercial, healthcare and/or large residential projects is highly desirable.
- Strong practical and technical understanding of construction methods and site operations.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors, direct labour and multidisciplinary site teams.
- Strong understanding of construction programmes and ability to drive works to meet key deadlines.
- Excellent understanding of Irish Health & Safety regulations and quality management systems.
- Strong leadership and people-management abilities.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain high standards of workmanship while achieving demanding programme targets.
- Self-motivated with a proactive, organised and hands-on approach.
