Job summary

Townmore is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join our team on a major project in Dublin 2. This is a senior delivery role requiring someone with strong main contractor experience and a proven track record of managing projects through the full construction lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering building projects with a main contractor in Ireland or the UK.
• Proven ability to manage projects from planning to handover.
• Strong programming, sequencing and coordination skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of works on site.
• Develop, manage and drive short-term programmes, sequencing and look-ahead schedules.
• Plan and coordinate internal works, external works and finishing packages, ensuring trades are sequenced and interfaces managed.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to quality standards.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, Design Team and wider site team to identify and resolve issues.
• Drive works through stages from structural and envelope to internals, finishes, snagging, commissioning and handover.
• Chair subcontractor and coordination meetings and ensure actions are closed out.
• Monitor progress against programme and provide accurate reporting.
• Maintain strong site records and quality documentation throughout the works.
• Lead by example in health & safety, quality and site standards.

We’re looking for a Site Manager who is particularly strong on programming, sequencing and coordinating works, with the experience to manage internals, externals and finishing works through to successful completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of works on site
• Develop, manage and drive short-term programmes, sequencing and look-ahead schedules in line with the overall project programme
• Plan and coordinate internal works, external works and finishing packages, ensuring trades are properly sequenced and interfaces are managed effectively
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards
• Work closely with the Project Manager, Design Team and wider site team to identify and resolve programme and construction issues
• Drive works through the various project stages, from structural and envelope works through internals, finishes, snagging, commissioning and handover
• Chair subcontractor and coordination meetings and ensure agreed actions are closed out
• Monitor progress against programme and provide accurate progress reporting
• Maintain strong site records and ensure quality documentation is completed throughout the works
• Lead by example in relation to health & safety, quality and site standards
• Proactively identify potential delays, sequencing issues and constraints and put appropriate recovery measures in place

What We’re Looking For

• 7–10+ years’ experience delivering building projects with a main contractor in Ireland or the UK
• Demonstrable experience delivering projects through the full project lifecycle to completion and handover
• Strong ability to programme, plan and sequence construction activities
• Excellent knowledge of internals, externals and finishing works, including coordination of multiple trades and packages
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and drive programme, quality and productivity on site
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, buildability and trade interfaces
• Degree qualified in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
