Job summary

Delve Search - Global Search Consultants seeks a Senior Field Service Engineer / Site Lead to oversee field service delivery for Ireland customer accounts. The role combines hands-on service with technical leadership, ensuring installation, diagnosis and repair of advanced semiconductor equipment.

You will act as the main customer liaison, coordinate on-site teams and mentor junior engineers while driving technical excellence and continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
• Significant hands-on experience servicing semiconductor capital equipment, ideally including front-end process tools.
• Alternative experience from pharma/medical devices or other high-tech areas is also considered.
• Proven track record in a customer-facing field service role with mentoring or leadership experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and software systems.
• Excellent communication skills, able to liaise with senior customer contacts.
• Structured, analytical approach to problem solving and root-cause investigation.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for the customer on all administrative and technical matters relating to installed systems.

• Lead and coordinate the on-site field service team, allocating work and providing technical guidance.
• Interpret customer needs and determine whether issues should be routed to sales, customer support, or engineering.
• Instruct and support customers on the correct operation and maintenance of installed systems.
• Drive continuous improvement and process consistency across the site.
• Provide escalation support for complex technical issues beyond the scope of junior engineers.

We're supporting a long-established global equipment manufacturer, known for its technology used across front-end semiconductor fabrication. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer / Site Lead to oversee field service delivery for their Ireland-based customer accounts.

Your Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for the customer on all administrative and technical matters relating to installed systems
• Oversee installation, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of complex semiconductor equipment, ensuring quality and performance standards are met

Your Profile

• Significant hands‑on experience servicing semiconductor capital equipment, ideally including front‑end process tools.
• Alternative experience from industries such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices or other high‑tech areas is also considered.
• Proven track record in a customer‑facing field service role, with some prior experience mentoring or informally leading others
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and software systems
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to act as company liaison with senior customer contacts
• Structured, analytical approach to problem solving and root‑cause investigation
