Job summary

Building Staff Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Site Engineer for a new retail park development in Tullamore, Co. Offaly.

You will carry out setting out and survey control across the site, plus set out steel frame, blockwork and envelope works, coordinating with subcontractors and the design team. You will check drawings and specifications, provide technical advice, support quality control and health and safety, and report directly to the Managing Director and Contracts Manager.

Qualifications

• Proven Site Engineer experience with a main contractor.
• Setting out experience on groundworks and structural steel.
• Commercial or retail project experience is an advantage.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of BCAR and QEHS requirements.
• Strong communication with subcontractors and design teams.
• Valid Safe Pass and relevant site certifications.

Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out and survey control across the site, including groundworks and building foundations
• Set out steel frame, blockwork and external envelope works
• Oversee building works on site, checking they are constructed in line with drawings and specifications
• Act as the point of contact for subcontractors and design team members
• Check and prepare site reports, designs and drawings
• Provide technical advice to the site team and resolve queries as they arise
• Support quality control, BCAR compliance and health and safety
• Report directly to the Managing Director and Contracts Manager
