Job summary

Brightpath Recruitment is seeking a Site Engineer for a large-scale educational project in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. You will set out and survey works, read drawings, and coordinate with subcontractors on a Tier 1 contractor site.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and at least 2 years on building projects, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and collaboration on a fast-paced site. DOE salary up to €65,000.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (must-have).
• Experience in setting out, surveying, reading drawings and working with architectural/structural details is required.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills for a fast-paced site.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying works to ensure alignment with design drawings.
• Coordinating with subcontractors, foremen, and site operatives to deliver high-quality work.
• Conducting quality checks and maintaining accurate site documentation.
• Maintaining site safety and contributing to a culture of compliance and best practice.
• Liaising with design and management teams to report progress and resolve technical queries.
