Job summary

Clancy Construction is seeking a Senior Site Engineer to lead the on-site engineering function for projects in Dublin. The role focuses on setting out, levels, and coordinating with consultants, subcontractors and the core team to maintain accuracy and safety.

The ideal candidate will have an Engineering degree with at least five years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and fluency in English.

• Engineering Degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of five years' experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall engineering function on site with emphasis on setting out and levels across the site.

• Review detailed design and communicate with designers to ensure adequate information is available for construction.
• Oversee quality control, safety matters and adherence to regulations and internal standards on site.

We are hiring for a Senior Site Engineer to join our team in Dublin. Key Responsibilities will include : Responsible for the overall engineering function on site with particular emphasis on setting out and implementation of correct levels across the site. Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors and the general workforce involved in the project to promote the accuracy of the information. Reviewing detailed design and where necessary to critique and communicate with designers to ensure adequate information is available for construction. Coordinating the development of design from designer's details to approved workshop drawings and technical information from subcontractors. Reading & interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure etc. Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure program targets are achieved without compromising on safety, quality or integrity. Ordering and control of materials on site. Maintaining site records pertaining to the engineering function. Checking plans, drawings and implementation of setting out coordination. Attending regular meetings with the team and interacting continuously. Safety, Sustainability and Quality management coupled with BCAR co-ordination. Overseeing quality control and safety matters on the site and ensuring that regulations, best practice and internal standards are adhered to and achieved. Qualifications/Experience: Engineering Degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of five years' experience in a similar role. Methodical practitioner with exceptional and demonstrated technical and problem-solving skills. Client/Consultant interface with regards to the engineering function. Confident in supervising site works and engaging with the team. Team player with ability to build effective relationships at all levels. Strong communication skills - oral and written.
