Job summary

Clancy Construction in Cork is seeking a Site Engineer to lead setting out and ensure levels on site across residential and commercial projects. You will coordinate with designers, subcontractors, and site teams to deliver accurate information.

The role requires an Engineering degree and a minimum of 3 years’ site experience; strong communication skills and fluent English are essential; the successful candidate will work within a safety-focused, quality-driven team.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years' site experience.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Fluency in English and ability to engage with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site engineering functions with emphasis on setting out and level control.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and workforce to ensure accuracy of information.
• Review designs and liaise with designers to ensure adequate information for construction.
• Develop design information from designer details to approved workshop drawings and subcontractor data.
• Read and interpret drawings for layouts and material quantities.
• Plan works to meet programme targets while maintaining safety and quality.
• Order and manage materials on site and maintain site records.
• Attend regular team meetings and coordinate setting out and QC with BCAR compliance.
