Job summary

Main Civil Engineering Contractor in Ireland is seeking a Site Engineer to help deliver a school/residential project in the Midlands. You will be responsible for setting out, supervising on-site activities, and ensuring drawings are followed accurately.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree with 1–2 years of relevant experience in Ireland or the UK, and proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD. A strong focus on SHEQ and site records is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years of recent Civil Engineering experience in Ireland or the UK.
• Knowledge of setting out equipment including GPS, site engineer level and total station.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and overseeing building work on site.
• Site surveying and checking technical designs and drawings.
• Assisting procurement and commercial departments.
• Completing SHEQ forms and tracking site records.
• Managing labour and plant returns and daily site tasks.

Role:

• Setting out
• Overseeing building work
• Site surveying
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
• Assisting the procurement department
• Assisting the commercial department.
• Completing SHEQ forms
• Tracking site records
• Completing labour and plant returns
• General site civil engineering daily tasks

Requirements:

• Must be graduating or hold a degree in Civil Engineering or similar
• Must have a minimum 1-2 years recent experience on Civil Engineering projects in Ireland or the UK
• Must have knowledge setting out equipment including GPS, site engineer level, total station
• Excellent MS Office skills
