Job summary

ECC Group in Ireland is seeking Site Engineers and Setting Out Engineers with 1–5 years' experience to join a growing portfolio of major projects across Ireland and Europe.

You will work across live projects, setting out with Total Station and GPS, interpreting drawings, maintaining site control, and supporting project teams to ensure accurate delivery and safety. A clear development pathway and training are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer or Setting Out Engineer.
• Experience working on construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or utility projects.
• Engineering or Construction qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Setting out using Total Station, GPS and surveying equipment.
• Establishing and maintaining site control networks.
• Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Carrying out site surveys and measurements.
• Producing accurate as-built records.
• Supporting QA/QC processes and documentation.
• Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and subcontractors.
• Monitoring installation accuracy and construction tolerances.
• Supporting safe delivery across all project activities.
• Travelling between project locations as required.

The Role

Working across multiple live projects, you'll play a key role in ensuring works are delivered accurately, safely, and in line with project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Setting out using Total Station, GPS and surveying equipment
• Establishing and maintaining site control networks

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer or Setting Out Engineer
• Experience working on construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or utility projects
• Experience gained in Ireland or on European construction projects
• Strong understanding of setting out principles and construction drawings
• Experience using Total Stations, GPS and surveying equipment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Relevant Engineering or Construction qualification

Driving Requirement

Due to the nature of the role, engineers must:

• Hold a full driving licence valid for use in Ireland

OR

• Be actively preparing for and committed to completing their Irish driving test within an agreed timeframe
