Qualifications

  • Degree or Masters in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of site engineering experience on civil projects.
  • Full driving licence (Irish or EU).
  • Authorized to work in Ireland (Stamp 4 or equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site engineering activities, including setting out, surveying, site coordination and supervision of site personnel and subcontractors.
  • Prepare project documentation including method statements, risk assessments, traffic management plans, programmes, technical reports, site diaries and as-built drawings.
  • Liaise with internal teams, clients, consultants, utility providers and authorities to support project delivery.
  • Monitor quality, safety and environmental compliance, ensuring works meet company procedures and regulations.
  • Coordinate labour, plant and material requirements, including procurement support and project reporting.
  • Resolve technical issues on site and support programme management to achieve milestones.

Job description

We are seeking a Site Engineer to join our team in Donegal. This role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of civil engineering projects from planning through to completion, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual, quality and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, clients, utility providers and statutory authorities to coordinate site activities, manage technical requirements and support successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site engineering activities, including setting out, surveying, site coordination and supervision of site personnel and subcontractors.
  • Prepare project documentation including method statements, risk assessments, traffic management plans, programmes, technical reports, site diaries and as-built drawings.

  • Monitor quality, safety and environmental compliance, ensuring works are carried out in accordance with company procedures, specifications and legislative requirements.
  • Coordinate labour, plant and material requirements, including procurement support, material requisitions and project reporting.
  • Resolve technical issues on site and support programme management to ensure project milestones and deadlines are achieved.
  • Degree or Masters qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects.
  • Strong setting out, surveying and site coordination experience.
  • Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements within a construction environment.
  • Full clean Irish or EU driving licence.
  • Authorised to work in Ireland (Stamp 4 or Critical Skills Employment Permit).
  • Modules or academic background in Water and Wastewater Engineering.
  • Membership of a relevant professional institution.
  • Experience working on utility, infrastructure, water or wastewater projects.
