Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Civil Site Engineer for a major project in Waterford City. The role focuses on setting out and coordinating civil works, working with the Project Manager and subcontractors to deliver safely, on time and to specification.

You will be responsible for readings of drawings, levels, surveys and maintaining as-built records, while ensuring quality and alignment with programme goals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Site setting-out and surveying experience on civil projects.
• Experience reading drawings and technical specifications.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage on-site QA/H&S.

Civil Site Engineer – Civil Contractor

A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking a Civil Site Engineer for a major project in Waterford City.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting out and coordinating civil engineering works on site, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager and subcontractors to ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme and to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out and surveying civil engineering works
• Setting out foundations, drainage, roads, utilities and external works
• Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
• Carrying out levels, surveys and as-built records
• Coordinating subcontractors and monitoring progress
• Ensuring works meet quality, programme and H&S requirements
• Liaising with the site and design teams to resolve technical queries

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• 2+ years’ experience as a Site Engineer
• Previous civil engineering / infrastructure experience
• Strong setting-out experience using Total Station/GPS
• Good knowledge of groundworks, drainage, roads and utilities
• Full driving licence and Safe Pass

Salary & Benefits:
