Job summary

Breedon Group is seeking a Contracts Supervisor to join our Cork area team at Rossmore Quarry. You will manage day-to-day surfacing operations and subcontractor coordination to meet contract specifications.

Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, ensuring material delivery, maintaining safety standards, and reporting to the contracts manager. The role requires hands-on site leadership, problem solving in a fast-paced environment, and a focus on quality and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Third level construction qualification or 2+ years in highway works
• Alternatively 5 GCSEs with 5 years highway works experience
• Valid driving licence
• Computer literate with Excel, Outlook and Word

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and manage the site, ensuring materials arrive and are laid in a timely manner in accordance with the contract specifications.
• Inspection of site prior to laying of material to ensure the substrate is in an acceptable condition. Determine quantities required and place material orders.
• Adherence to work schedule on a daily basis, ensuring adequate resources are available and maximised.
• Coordinate site activities with project schedule and contracts, including employees and sub-contractors.
• Plan, organise and manage service and maintenance of plant and equipment, ensuring daily maintenance and safe storage.
• Ensure sites are left clean and completed to client satisfaction.
• Maintain relationships with client and provide project information as required.
• Ensure key roles are staffed and performance reviewed; motivate staff to meet objectives.
• Comply with safety regulations and company policies; report accidents to contracts manager and investigate as needed.
• Submit completion paperwork to contracts administrator within 7 days of contract completion and highlight issues.
