Job summary

Breedon Group is seeking a Contracts Supervisor for our Cork-area operations. You will manage surfacing projects, coordinate teams, and ensure timely delivery of materials and compliance with contract specs.

The role requires a construction qualification or highway-works experience, a valid driving licence, and solid IT skills (Excel/Outlook/Word). You will oversee plant maintenance, safety, and client relations on site.

Qualifications

• Third level construction qualification or 2 years’ highway works experience
• Val id driving licence
• Computer literacy with Excel, Outlook and Word
• Knowledge of specifications, materials, plant and works methods
• Ability to solve problems in a fast-moving site environment

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and manage the site, ensuring materials arrive and are laid in a timely manner in accordance with the contract specifications
• Inspect site prior to laying of material to ensure substrate is in acceptable condition; determine quantities and place material orders
• Adhere to daily work schedule; ensure adequate resources
• Coordinate site activities with employees and sub-contractors within project schedule
• Plan and manage service and maintenance of plant and equipment daily
• Ensure sites are left clean and completed to client satisfaction
• Maintain effective relationships with client; provide necessary information on project operation
• Staff key roles; ensure roles defined, understood and performance reviewed
• Comply with statutory provisions and safety regulations; protect health and welfare
• Return health and safety docs monthly; report accidents and lead investigations
• On completion, quantities are agreed and paperwork submitted within 7 days
• Follow company policy, procedures and site rules
