Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment in Wicklow/South Dublin is seeking a Site Engineer with 3+ years' experience to join a well-established civil contractor. The role involves setting-out, surveying, QA/QC, and coordinating site teams on diverse civil projects.

Applicants should have a Civil Engineering degree, strong setting-out skills, and a full clean driving licence. Travel to project sites will be required; salary €55,000–€65,000 plus a company vehicle/travel package.

About Your New Company

A well-established civil engineering contractor based in Wicklow, delivering a range of civil and infrastructure projects across the region. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to add an experienced Site Engineer to their team.

About the Role

You'll work closely with the Project Manager and Site Management team, with responsibility for:

• Setting out and surveying using Total Station / GPS
• Checking drawings, levels and specifications
• QA/QC and site inspections
• Coordinating subcontractors and site teams
• Monitoring progress and assisting with programme delivery
• Resolving technical queries and supporting day-to-day site operations

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years' experience as a Site Engineer
• Civil Engineering qualification
• Strong setting-out experience
• Good knowledge of drawings, levels and specifications
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Full clean driving licence – essential
