Job summary

GMC Utilities Group is seeking an experienced Site Agent to join our team in Ireland. The role focuses on delivering civil and utilities projects with a strong emphasis on health and safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will oversee site activities, liaise with clients, and manage multiple teams to ensure projects meet budget and schedule targets. The ideal candidate will have civils experience on road projects, the ability to read designs, and strong commercial awareness.

Qualifications

• Civils experience with road projects and reading designs.
• Full clean driving licence essential.
• Commercial awareness of project costs.
• Experience with site activities and multiple teams.
• HSQE knowledge and safety compliance.
• Computer literate; good communication and time management.

Responsibilities

• Run multiple projects within urban and rural environments.
• Liaise with Clients and Client Representatives to enable delivery and relationship-building.
• Review drawings in detail and amend designs based on feedback.
• Lead and mentor site team; coordinate with Contracts Manager and other site staff.
• Ensure work is on time and within budget; monitor progress and resources.
• Oversee health and safety on-site and liaise with Local Authorities as needed.
• Provide status reports toClients and manage communications with subcontractors.
