Job summary

GMC Utilities Group is seeking a Civil Site Agent to manage daily operations of multiple civil crews across sites in Dublin, Meath and Louth. The role requires strong coordination, communication, and organisational skills to deliver work safely, on time and to high quality standards.

The successful candidate will liaise with Clients and representatives, review drawings, amend designs, lead the site team, monitor progress and manage resources and budget while maintaining strict HSQE compliance.

Qualifications

• Full clean driver’s license is essential.
• Engineering qualification or equivalent desirable.
• Experience in civils, drainage or utilities projects.
• Ability to read designs accurately.
• Commercial awareness of project costs.
• Experience with site activities and multiple teams.
• Strong HSQE knowledge.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of multiple civil crews across sites.
• Coordinate with Clients and Representatives to deliver projects.
• Review and amend drawings based on feedback.
• Lead on-site project team and supervise resources.
• Ensure safety, quality, and budget adherence.
• Monitor progress and delivery of materials.
• Liaise with Local Authorities for inspections.
• Provide status reports to clients and subcontractors.
• Handle on-site complaints professionally.
• Oversee traffic management and health and safety checks.
• Mentor and identify training needs for junior staff.
