Job summary

GMC Utilities Group is seeking an experienced Site Agent to deliver civil and road projects across Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow. You will lead site teams, review designs, monitor safety, and ensure projects meet timelines and budgets.

You will coordinate with clients, authorities and internal teams, applying best practices to ensure high quality and compliant outcomes. A driver’s license and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Full clean driver’s license essential.
• Engineering qualification or equivalent desirable.
• Civil projects experience, especially road work.
• Ability to read designs and drawings.
• Commercial awareness of project costs.
• Experience with site activities and multiple teams.
• Solid knowledge of HSQE requirements.
• Knowledge of ground support systems.
• Computer literate.
• Capable of working independently and in a team.
• Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Good time management.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Integrity and respect for confidentiality and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Run and manage multiple projects on urban and rural sites.
• Coordinate with Clients and Client Representatives to ensure delivery and build relationships.
• Review and amend drawings with attention to detail.
• Lead and mentor site team members; manage resources with the Contracts Manager.
• Ensure health, safety, and compliance on site and in accordance with legal requirements.
• Report progress and issues; provide status reports to clients and stakeholders.
• Monitor progress to ensure on-time delivery within budget.
• Engage with Local Authorities for site inspections and approvals.
• Liaise with workflow department for scheduling and programming of works.
• Handle client complaints professionally and drive continuous improvement.
