Job summary

GMC Utilities Group in Ireland is seeking an experienced Site Agent to join our team. You will support the delivery of civil infrastructure projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget outcomes while upholding health, safety and quality standards.

You will lead on-site activities across Dublin, Kildare & Wicklow, manage client relationships, coordinate multi-discipline teams, review drawings, and drive improvements to site processes. A proactive, communicative professional will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Full clean driver’s license essential.
• Engineering qualification or equivalent desirable.
• Civils experience on road projects.
• Ability to read designs.
• Commercial awareness of project costs.
• Experience with site activities and multiple teams.
• Good knowledge of HSQE requirements.
• Confident, motivated and can work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Run multiple projects in urban and rural environments.
• Liaise with Clients and Client Representatives to deliver projects and build relationships.
• Review drawings with a high level of detail and amend designs as needed.
• Create leadership within the on-site team and coordinate resources.
• Coordinate with Contracts Manager to manage work and site resources.
• Ensure customer expectations are met while building trust.
• Monitor progress to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Liaise with Local Authorities for footway inspections and approvals.
• Provide client status reports and act as main contact for subcontractors.
