Job summary

BSS Building Staff Solutions Limited is seeking a Senior Engineer/Site Agent to lead on civils projects in the Dublin area. You will run site activities from start to finish and collaborate with the Project Manager on programme and cost.

The role involves managing the site team and subcontractors, ensuring quality and safety, and delivering works to drawings and specifications in line with budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Senior Engineer or Site Agent experience on civils projects.
• Recent Irish site experience.
• Able to read and work from construction drawings and specifications.
• Valid Safe Pass and relevant site certifications.

Responsibilities

• Run civils projects on site from start to completion.
• Manage the site team, operatives and subcontractors.
• Plan and deliver works to programme and budget.
• Oversee quality and ensure works are built to drawings and specification.
• Take responsibility for health and safety on site.
• Manage technical submittals, procurement and subcontractor packages.
• Report to and work alongside the Project Manager on programme and cost.

Our client is an Irish civil engineering contractor working on roads and bridges, rail, drainage and pipelines, water and wastewater treatment, wind farms, marine and coastal, demolition and urban renewal projects. They are recruiting a Senior Engineer/Site Agent level, with a path to Project Manager.
