Job summary

Elite Talent Hub Recruitment is representing a leading international packaging manufacturer seeking a Shift Production Manager in Co. Mayo, Ireland.

The role covers end-to-end production on your shift, from print and finishing through warehousing and shipping, with responsibility for safety, quality and cost efficiency. The successful candidate will have a strong engineering background, GMP knowledge, and at least 3 years in production management.

• Commercial awareness and ability to optimize production cost and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for production on your shift, including print/finishing, warehousing and shipping.
• Meet customer delivery and quality expectations while improving efficiency and reducing costs.
• Lead, motivate and develop teams across production roles and departments.
• Lead daily management meetings and communicate performance, feedback and priorities.
• Set, track and deliver KPIs; produce monthly production and quality reports.
• Apply lean principles to drive cost reduction and productivity improvements.
• Own the preventative maintenance programme in print and finishing equipment.
• Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions through root-cause analysis.
• Lead health and safety across the department and maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Collaborate with HR on absence, performance, investigations and disciplinary matters.
• Manage new product introductions and participate in capacity planning.
• Depose for Manufacturing Manager and assist Production Planner when required.
• Work in line with ISO standards and the site Quality Policy and Works Instructions.
