Job summary

Corrib Oil is seeking a Shift Manager for our service station in Westport, Mayo. You will oversee the shift, supervise staff, ensure secure opening/closing, and promote customer loyalty while maintaining service standards.

The role emphasizes on-site leadership, stock handling, training, and adherence to health and safety policies, with opportunities for career progression within a growing retailer.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or fuel station operations.
• Strong customer service skills and complaint handling.
• Ability to supervise and train staff on shift.
• Familiarity with inventory control and deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all shift duties performed by the team.
• General supervision of the store and staff; delegate tasks as needed.
• Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed accurately and securely.
• Enforce company policies and procedures on shift.
• Assist in induction, training and development of staff.
• Ensure checkouts operate efficiently and accurately.
• Promote the Customer Loyalty programme with staff engagement.
• Manage stock and check deliveries against dockets; query discrepancies with suppliers.
• Handle customer queries, requests and complaints per store procedures.
• Maintain hygiene standards and store presentation.
• Comply with Health & Safety requirements and report breaches.
• Cover the Store Manager in their absence as directed by management.
• Perform other duties as directed by the management team.
