Job summary

Corrib Oil is hiring a Shift Manager for our Ballinasloe Service Station in Co. Galway. You will lead a team on shift, supervise daily store operations, and ensure secure opening/closing and high customer service standards.

Responsibilities include stock management, staff induction, promoting loyalty programmes, handling customer queries, and maintaining hygiene and Health & Safety compliance. You will act as the Store Manager in their absence and contribute to a proactive, customer‑focused

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Customer service orientation is essential.
• Strong leadership and team delegation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all duties carried out by the team during shift.
• Supervise store and staff and delegate tasks as required.
• Ensure opening/closing procedures are performed efficiently and in line with procedures.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures at all times.
• Assist in induction, training and development of staff.
• Ensure checkouts operate efficiently and accurately.
• Promote the Customer Loyalty programme to staff and customers.
• Manage stock and verify deliveries against delivery dockets; raise supplier queries when needed.
• Handle customer queries, requests and complaints with high standard of care.
• Maintain hygiene and presentation standards and comply with Health & Safety requirements.
• Be responsible for the service station in the absence of Store Manager and any other duties directed by management.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing all duties are carried out by the team during shift.
• General supervision of the store and staff and delegation of duties when required.
• To ensure opening and closing procedures are carried out efficiently in all areas of the Service Station premises and in accordance with security and other related procedures.
• To comply with and ensure that company policies and procedures are always adhered to within the store.
• To assist in the induction, training, and development of staff in the store.
• To ensure the check outs are always operated efficiently and effectively.
• To promote the Customer Loyalty programme at every opportunity and ensure that all staff are too engaging in this process.
• Responsible for Stock Management, and to check in deliveries according to Store procedure, ensuring quantities of product delivered match with delivery dockets and raising queries with suppliers when necessary.
• To handle customer queries, requests, and complaints according to store procedure, ensuring the highest standard of customer care is given to all our customers.
• To ensure hygiene standards and the general presentation of the store are maintained as per agreed procedures.
• To comply with all Health & Safety requirements as they pertain to the Service Station and to report and handle any breaches promptly.
• To be responsible for the Service Station in the absence of and as directed by the Store Manager
• To perform any other duties as may be directed by the management team from time to time.
