Job summary

Corrib Oil is seeking a Part Time Shift Manager for the Newcastle West Service Station in County Limerick. The role focuses on supervising daily shift operations, customer service excellence and stock control, with a view to maintaining smooth store performance and promotional activities.

You will oversee checkout efficiency, staff training, and adherence to health and safety procedures while supporting the Store Manager and contributing to a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all duties carried out by the team during shift.
• General supervision of the store and staff and delegation of duties when required.
• Ensure opening and closing procedures are carried out efficiently and in accordance with security procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist in induction, training and development of staff.
• Ensure checkouts operate efficiently and effectively.
• Promote the Customer Loyalty programme and engage staff in it.
• Handle stock management and deliveries, verify quantities against delivery dockets, raise supplier queries as needed.
• Handle customer queries, requests and complaints according to store procedure, delivering high standards of care.
• Maintain hygiene standards and store presentation per procedures.
• Comply with Health & Safety requirements for the Service Station and report breaches.
• Be responsible for the Service Station in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing all duties are carried out by the team during shift.
• General supervision of the store and staff and delegation of duties when required.
• To ensure opening and closing procedures are carried out efficiently in all areas of the Service Station premises and in accordance with security and other related procedures.
• To comply with and ensure that company policies and procedures are always adhered to within the store.
• To assist in the induction, training, and development of staff in the store.
• To ensure the check outs are always operated efficiently and effectively.
• To promote the Customer Loyalty programme at every opportunity and ensure that all staff are too engaging in this process.
• Responsible for Stock Management, and to check in deliveries according to Store procedure, ensuring quantities of product delivered match with delivery dockets and raising queries with suppliers when necessary.
• To handle customer queries, requests, and complaints according to store procedure, ensuring the highest standard of customer care is given to all our customers.
• To ensure hygiene standards and the general presentation of the store are maintained as per agreed procedures.
• To comply with all Health & Safety requirements as they pertain to the Service Station and to report and handle any breaches promptly.
• To be responsible for the Service Station in the absence of and as directed by the Store Manager
• To perform any other duties as may be directed by the management team from time to time.
