Job summary

Marks & Spencer Plc is seeking a Shift Lead to drive the fill operation, coordinate resources, and lead the floor in the absence of the Colleague Manager. You will coach colleagues, optimise the customer payment experience, and ensure daily processes run smoothly.

You will be a key holder, support opening/closing duties, maintain high presentation standards, and contribute to a positive, inclusive team atmosphere while upholding M&S behaviours and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Good level of digital capability and can access and utilise relevant systems.
• Good knowledge of the commercial operation, brilliant basics and operational excellence.
• Current working knowledge of all VM principles.
• A good communicator with the ability to build relationships and work within a team.
• A good knowledge of the legal requirements associated with the role of a customer assistant and when duty managing.
• Maintain high presentation standards, attention to detail and deliver on time, right first time.
• Interpret data relevant to the role.
• Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to change.

Responsibilities

• Lead the fill operation and coordinate resources to Serve, Sell and Fill.
• Coach colleagues on One Best Way and drive productivity for store opening.
• Allocate resources to deliver a quick payment experience.
• Ensure daily operational processes are implemented efficiently across all areas of the store.
• Coordinate the team to deliver a clean, safe and well-presented store.
• Support Colleague Managers by sharing observations to drive performance.
• Be a key holder and respond to call outs.
• Open/close responsibilities including cash handling and temperature controls.
